Caernarfon Castle
Attraction
A brute of a fortress. Caernarfon Castle’s pumped-up appearance is unashamedly muscle-bound and intimidating. Picking a fight with this massive structure would have been a daunting prospect.
Dolbadarn Castle
Attraction
Probably built by Llywelyn ab Iorwerth ('the Great') early in the thirteenth century, the castle is dominated by a massive round-towered keep, still standing up to 50 feet (15.2m) high.
Menai Strait Cruises
Attraction
If you’re looking for things to do in and around Caernarfon in North Wales – a boat trip aboard The Queen of the Sea is an absolute must!
Slate Quay, Caernarfon Harbour, Caernarfon, Gwynedd, LL55 2PB
Padarn Country Park
Attraction
The description ‘Country Park’ doesn’t really do this place justice. Ranged around the lake of Llyn Padarn, there’s everything here from watersports to walking, wildlife to industrial heritage, woodlands to inspiring mountain views.
Parc Glynllifon
Attraction
An unexpected gem! You’ll find extensive historic gardens – Grade I listed, no less – with woodland walks, follies and sculptures.
