Padarn Country Park

The description ‘Country Park’ doesn’t really do this place justice. Ranged around the lake of Llyn Padarn, there’s everything here from watersports to walking, wildlife to industrial heritage, woodlands to inspiring mountain views. 

The park has many attractions including the quarry hospital, Llanberis Lake Railway, Ropeworks Active, Boulder Adventures, Phoenix Watersports and the recently opened Sawna Bach - The Scenic Sauna.

There are also workshops which are homes to Odyn Copr, Sharon McCaig Ceramics and Gwdihw. 

A cafe is located at the Llanberis Lake Railway. 

Work is currently being undertaken as part of the Llewych o'r Llechi programme which includes building a new toilet block, restoring the A incline, bringing back the Fire Queen locomotive and restoring Hafod Wen and the structures within Vivian Quarry.

The National Slate Museum is currently closed in order to undertake an exciting redevelopment project. This will breathe new life into the much-loved museum and will safeguard the spectacular historic buildings and globally important collections so that future generations can experience and enjoy the incredible story of slate. However the museum is organising pop up events so please keep and eye on their social media.
