Caerau Gardens
Attraction
Caerau Uchaf has the highest private garden open to the public in North Wales at well over 1000 ft. The Gardens were started in 1994 and are being added to all of the time.
Cymer Abbey

Substantial remains of the simple abbey church, founded in 1198 by Maredudd ap Cynan for the Cistercian order.
Sygun Copper Mine

A remarkable underground experience. Abandoned in 1903 but now reopened to visitors, Sygun tells the story of Victorian miners. Nowadays, it’s hard to believe that such gritty industrial heritage exists amongst so much natural beauty.
Tal-y-Llyn Heritage Centre

Ystradgwyn chapel used to be the centre of activity and social life in the beautiful secluded valley of Tal-y-Llyn with its famous wild trout lake and source of the Dysynni river which flows to the sea near Tywyn.
