Mary Jones Pilgrim Centre

In 1800, a 15 year-old girl called Mary Jones walked 26 miles from Llanfihangel-y-Pennant to Bala to buy a book.

Established in 1859 Trefriw Woollen Mills manufacture traditional Welsh bedspreads, travel rugs and tweeds. Their machinery is over 50 years old and they generate their own electricity.
