Black Rock Sands
Attraction
Even though the name suggests a dark beach, you won’t see much in the way of blackness. Black Rock Sands is an open, wide beach with fine sands.

Criccieth Castle
Attraction
It is a landmark site, a true testament to the varying fortunes of war. What a picture, what a view! Perched on a headland with the sea as its constant bedfellow. Its twin-towered gatehouse intimidates prospective attackers.
Dragon Theatre and Barmouth Community Centre
Attraction
Situated in the centre of Barmouth on the west coast of Snowdonia, this imposing, converted Victorian chapel houses a 186-seat traditional theatre auditorium, plus several other function and community meeting rooms including a second, studio stage
Fairbourne Railway
Attraction
It’s the smallest of Wales’s narrow-gauge railways, with a track width of only 12¼ins. So it’s dinky, it’s sweet – but it takes you on a railway ride through the dunes to some pretty big views of the Mawddach Estuary and mountains beyond.
