Attractions / Activities
Cymer Abbey
Attraction
Substantial remains of the simple abbey church, founded in 1198 by Maredudd ap Cynan for the Cistercian order.
Fairbourne Railway
Attraction
It’s the smallest of Wales’s narrow-gauge railways, with a track width of only 12¼ins. So it’s dinky, it’s sweet – but it takes you on a railway ride through the dunes to some pretty big views of the Mawddach Estuary and mountains beyond.
Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways
Attraction
We have officially reopened here at the Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railways and we are delighted to share with you our four new package experiences!
Take a look at our new set of journey experiences for this Spring/Summer:
Pont Minllyn
Attraction
A narrow bridge crossing the Dyfi at Dinas Mawddwy. Built by Dr John Davies early in the seventeenth century.
Talyllyn Railway
Attraction
The Talyllyn Railway is a historic narrow-gauge steam railway, set in the beautiful Mid-Wales countryside.
