Distinctive remains of a native Welsh castle, probably begun by Prince Llywelyn ab Iorwerth ('the Great') around 1221. Castell y Bere was a remote outpost on Llywelyn’s southern frontier, but it was vital to his security.

Scenic, spectacular trips in 10 person RIB powerboats with fully qualified, experienced pilots, departing  from  Beaumaris Pier, and some other locations by special arrangement.

Tywyn’s name derives from Welsh words meaning dunes and seaside – so if you know a little Welsh you’ll know what to expect! There’s firm sand too – lots of it.
