Victoria at Storiel
- 17 October 2019 - 29 February 2020
Queen Victoria’s clothes together with other textiles and accessories from the Victorian period will be on display at Storiel from the 17th October.
A black dress worn by Queen Victoria in the late 19th century will be on display as well as her chemise, cuffs, hat and infant’s dress. Also on display will be a wedding dress from the Victorian period, jewellery and accessories, shoes and shawls.
Queen Victoria’s clothes were donated to the Museum by a variety of people, and it is interesting how similar items exist in other Museums and private collections. This display will also show some aspects of style and fashion in the 19th century.
