Aberdaron, on the Llŷn Heritage Coast, has a glorious sandy beach with easy access (including disabled access).

Following the ancient pilgrim route on a fast modern boat, Bardsey Boat Service will show you a fabulous diversity of seabirds, seals and porpoises amid spectacular scenery.

It’s the smallest of Wales’s narrow-gauge railways, with a track width of only 12¼ins. So it’s dinky, it’s sweet – but it takes you on a railway ride through the dunes to some pretty big views of the Mawddach Estuary and mountains beyond.

Fairbourne’s beautiful golden sands are backed by a steep bank of pebbles. They fringe a narrow finger of land that extends most of the way across the mouth of the Mawddach Estuary, with stunning views of mountains, woodlands and the sea.
