Corris Railway

Attraction

The Corris Railway was the first Narrow Gauge railway in Mid-Wales. Built originally in 1859 as a 2’ 3" gauge horse-hauled tramroad, steam locomotives arrived in 1878 and passengers were carried from 1883 to 1930.

Attraction

A unique Gin distillery in the Dyfi UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve. The only distillery to have won Best British Gin at the Great British Food Awards twice, and home to Pollination and Hibernation gins.

Established in 1859 Trefriw Woollen Mills manufacture traditional Welsh bedspreads, travel rugs and tweeds. Their machinery is over 50 years old and they generate their own electricity.
