Storiel’s museum collection has many examples of ‘recycling’. Some are beautiful pieces made from treasured fragments, others discarded broken objects used in a new way. Exhibits from our reserve collection.

Bangor University is the custodian of thousands of archives, rare books, artefacts and specimens that are of regional, national and in some instances international significance. A booklet ‘100 Treasures of Bangor University’ was produced showcasing highlights from these collections with funding from The Bangor Fund. This display shows a selection from the 100 treasures included in the booklet.

STORIEL continues to collect and develop its collection and collects objects that helps us to interpret and understand the history and culture of Gwynedd and its people. The Museum relies on objects generously donated by members of the public.
