Bennar Beach

Dyffryn Ardudwy, Gwynedd, LL44 2HD

Bennar’s fine, sandy beach is backed by the occasional sand dune. These sand dunes are of Special Scientific Interest, since they are constantly developing and therefore changing their environment. Whilst relaxing on this beach the views come alive, its possible to see the splendid Gwynedd coastline, to the north and to the south. Conditions here are excellent for surfing, and its believed that Bennar is one of the best places in Gwynedd for consistently good waves. Others come to Bennar to fish, where you’ll find bass, flounders, dogfish and plaice. Further along the beach, about a mile to the north, there is a special area designated for naturists. In the same area, there is a designated spot for nude bathing, these areas have been clearly marked. There are also dog restrictions in place.
