Why not stop off at Pete’s Eats when you arrive in Llanberis, the lakeside village at the foot of Snowdon. Since 1978 Pete's has been serving the most generous portions to hungry adventurers along with pint mugs of tea. The café has been a mecca for climbers and outdoor enthusiasts to meet and share ideas and information about their sports and now has an international reputation. There’s also a book exchange and over 400 maps available in order to study the area in minute detail and plan some lovely walks.

Afternoon:

Ropes and Ladders is the activity high ropes course in Llanberis, right in the heart of Snowdonia. Situated in a beautiful woodland setting in Padarn Country Park, Llanberis, the main activities provide an exciting outdoor adventure activity for families, groups and individuals from 8 to over 80 years old. Adults and children alike can enjoy the excitement of the ropes course with its aerial challenges, climbing, leaps, giant swing and zip line with spectacular views of the adjacent lake and the mountains of Snowdonia. Your instructor will be on hand throughout the activity to encourage and advise beginners or experienced users. A new kid’s course opened in 2009, suitable for children 4 to 8yr olds. Now the smaller members of the family won't need to feel left out!

Caban Café in the neighbouring village of Brynrefail. Globetrotting Buffet Evenings. Most Saturdays, Caban hosts a buffet evening at only £12.00 a head. Each buffet evening has a different theme. A good chance to taste different foods and styles from around the world. Doors open at 7pm and the food is out at about 7.30pm.
