Although a small village there's plenty to do. Corris Craft Centre has ten Craft workshops packed with unique hand crafted items for your home, garden and gifts for others.
Talented craftspeople can be seen producing a range of quality items ranging from traditional, rustic and contemporary. Visitors to the Craft Centre will see the Craftspeople at work and can buy directly from them.
Corris Mine Explorers also offer underground tours. Other attractions and activities include the Corris Museum and Railway, downhill biking in the forest, excellent fishing at Tal-y-Llyn Lake and exhilarating walking on Cadair Idris.
Next to Corris Craft Centre is King Arthur’s Labyrinth, a popular attraction where you travel deep underground and encounter tales and tableaux based on Arthurian legend.
The Centre for Alternative Technology One of Southern Snowdonia’s most significant attractions is hidden away in the woods two miles to the south. The Centre for Alternative Technology is Britain’s pioneering ‘green’ village of the future, where all kinds of energy-saving devices are employed to cut down on consumption and carbon emissions. It’s an enlightening – and hugely entertaining – place to visit, conveying a serious message with a sense of involvement and fun.
